Designers and engineers sit on the same teams from the first week. Research isn't a phase that ends; the person who timed the journeys in week one is still on the project when the signs go up.

We don't pitch for free and we don't do spec work. When a client asks for ideas before signing, we sell them a three-week audit instead, and half the time that audit is the most useful thing we do for them.
